Woodland Flowers

This painting started out as a watercolor expression. I had no reference, and just wanted to paint a fantasy landscape using very bold color.It began entirely Orange and blue. I liked the freshness of the brushwork and the unusual colors, but was never quite satisfied with the overall result. So I got out the pastels and brought it to its current stage. This painting took over a year to finally resolve into something I like.
