This large acrylic was commissioned for a large wall in a Greatroom. It needed to be powerful enough to have a presence on a very high wall, and provide some weight to the bottom of the room. The entire concept revolved around the green stripe, which people interpret as a river, or a field.

The owners of this house have the last name of Strange, so this is the Strange House. They love their restored historic home and asked for its portrait to be done. I did several versions, and this was the one that hit the mark.

My friends asked for a portrait of their dog, Reggie. This painting included many design elements that I like to employ, yet it just looks like a dog. This painting won a portrait award.

I met a wonderful woman who enjoyed my work. She had seen another painting that she wanted to purchase but someone beat her to it. She told me she liked paintings of water and nature. I decided to do a take on the classic California impressionist view.
